2007 Beach House Chardonnay
A stunning track record, in the top 10 in Cuisine 2000 and 2002, with all subsequent vintage selling out quickly. This wine has the same potential. Aromas of mandarin, pineapple and peach with a nutty seductively powerful ripe citrus palate. Barrel fermented and lees stirred, a fine textured and complex wine. As I write it already has THREE Gold medals.

notes

2007 Beach House Gewurztraminer
The Gewurztraminer grows beside the Riesling at Te Awanga with the sea breeze limiting the cropping volume and producing very concentrated fruit flavours. Intense aromas of rose petals, turkish delight and lychee with spicy flavours of dried pear and honey tea on the pallet. With 5 grams residual sugar this wine is officially dry but it is all about the pallet balance. Worth the wait after many years of fickle crops.

notes

2007 Beach House Riesling
The cool sea breezes of Te Awanga have preserved the delicate aromas of pears, very ripe apples and orange blossom. The ferment stopped slightly sooner than last year with the higher residual sugar, working well with the acid to carry the flavours longer, with a nice lime finish. Age will give this wine a great complexity.

notes

2008 Beach House Sauvignon Blanc
A lively wine with fresh green capsicum, gooseberry and passionfruit aroma. A lighter bodied crisp wine perfect for those hot summer days.

notes

2006 Beach House Montepulciano
An Italian grape variety from the Montepulciano region mainly grown today in the Abuzzi Area. The aroma is of cherries, raspberries, rose petals and cinnamon. The tannins give this wine a uniqueness. Strong smooth leather and tar lasting sensations carry the fruit beautifully.

notes

2006 Beach House Reserve Merlot
Intense aromas of plum, forest berries and cedar. On the palate dark chocolate, fruit cake and leather with strong silky tannin lingering and lasting. A gold medal for the 2005 vintage at the Air New Zealand wine awards this wine is its equal.

notes

2006 Beach House Cabernet Merlot
The dominant Cabernet in this wine gives strong aromas of blackberries and brambles, following through to the palate with mint and vanilla. The neighbours gum tree gives a eucalyptus flavour reminiscent of south Australia The fine tannins and texture of the merlot give this wine great weight and length.

This is the first crop off our Syrah block. We waited till the berries started to shrivel and gained a tangy prune flavour. 2002 Beach House Sauvignon Blanc
A dry style with a smooth, fuity mouth feel. Initially herbaceous leading onto tropical passionfruit and peach flavours it is a true Hawkes Bay style 'sauvy'.

2001 Beach House Reserve Merlot
Hand picked clone 181 grapes off the Gimblett Gravels. Treated with extreme care and aged for 12 months in a selection of French oak this medal winning wine shows savoury plum, rasberry and chocolate aromas - an explosion of flavour in the mouth. This young wine, if you have the strength to keep it will be even better in a year.

2000 Beach House Cabernet Merlot
12 months in oak and a year in the bottle gives this blend of 50% Cabernet and 50% merlot a bouquet of blackcurrents, plums and leather. The oak lifts the ripe fruit on the palate and gives spicy, peppermint flavours. Still a young wine

Was fermented dry. It has developed well in the bottle and is a full-bodied, flavoursome wine.
